Pre-Record Overlay

Insert your USB drive and push record.  You will see this overlay on the "Camera Page". Depending on the device, this message will disappear between 2 and 20 seconds.  The record button will then flash bright red.  When the record button is flashing your MPEG4 video is being created.  DO NOT REMOVE YOUR USB DRIVE DURING THIS TIME OR YOUR VIDEO WILL BE LOST!

Please read this message carefully. The recorders in the classrooms are set so that 1GB of free space is required for every 1 hour of recording time.

This message will appear when you press the "Record" button; if the recorder does not go into record within 20 seconds then check step 1 first.  If all conditions are true, then proceed to step 2.  Your USB drive may not be fully seated, it  be damaged or dirty, or the last user did not follow proper procedure or the recorder just needs a few more seconds to respond.

Record Error Overlay

Reboot Overlay

If you are still having a problem after step 2 and you have tried another drive.  Then a previous user may have inserted an incompatible device into the record slot. In this case, choose step 3 and you will see the following message for 75 seconds. After this the recorder should respond again.

Reboot Failure Overlay

Just in case the reboot fails, this message will be displayed and a help message will be sent to Classroom Support.
