File Formats

Digital Imaging works on both Macintosh and PC platforms. You will probably achieve better results by submitting Native files. If, however, you are going to submit files to the Copy Center, it will be less expensive to use printer ready file types (PDF, TIF, DOC)

We support the following programs.

Windows Native:  CorelDraw! X3 (13), Freehand MX,  Illustrator CS2, Photoshop CS2, PowerPoint XP.

Macintosh Native:  Freehand MX, Photoshop CS, PowerPoint 2003,  Illustrator CS.

There are several things you can do to reduce printing errors. Some of them are:

1. Convert fonts to outlines (or paths) when possible. (see font section for more  info)

2. Embed images when possible (or include ALL linked images)

3. Keep embedded image resolutions between 50 and 150 P.P.I.

4. Do not work across platforms! Keep mac files on the mac and pc files on the pc!
