| When you first run Fetch,
the New Connection... dialog box will open (figure 1). Fill in the fields
with the following values. Host: should be ftp.its.uidaho.edu.
Type anonymous in the User ID: field. Use your email address
in the Password field. Type upload in the
Directory: field. Your dialog box should look like figure 1. Click OK to begin your ftp
session.

Fetch will connect to the
PEI ftp
server. From the menu bar, choose Directories followed by Create
New Directory... (figure 2).

You should see a dialog box
similar to figure 3, below. Enter your first initial and last name as the directory name.
For example, Joe Vandal would create a directory named jvandal. Click OK
then navigate into the new directory from the Fetch main window.

Before beginning the upload, make
sure the Binary upload option (in figure 4, below) is selected. Then
click the Put File... button.

In the dialog box that opens,
navigate to your file or files on your local machine. Select the file or files you will
upload. Press Open.
Note: When ftping files, you will not be
able to delete or overwrite any files already on the ftp site. If you make a mistake that
necessitates resubmitting your files, you should create a new directory in upload,
give it a different name, and re-upload your files.

The Put File
dialog box will open. Select MacBinary as the Format:. Press
okay to upload your file.

When you are finished uploading,
call Digital Imaging 885-5955, or drop by UCC 105 to place your order. Please do not
contact us until after all your file has been uploaded. |
