Overview


The Media Library is an area where your instructor can build a database of text, image, video, and audio entries to enhance your course.

Optionally, students may be asked to add entries to the Media Library. You will find instructions for both viewing and adding Media Library entries below.

Can't find what you're looking for?
There are several possibilities:
  • Perhaps it has not been released yet by the instructor?
  • Is it on the next page? At the bottom of the window, you will find Next Page and Previous Page icons you can use to navigate through the list of Items.
  • Permanently increase the default number of items displayed per screen by modifying your global Paging Preference.

Viewing Entries

TOP
  • Login to Blackboard and go to your Blackboard course
  • Click on the Media Library
  • Click on a Collection

 

  • Click on a media title to view the entry

Adding Entries

Note: Your instructor has an option to allow students to add entries to the course Media Library if they choose.
  • Login to Blackboard and go to your Blackboard course
  • Click on the Media Library
  • Click on a Collection

  • Click the Create Entry button

  • Fill in a Title.
  • Add a Description if you like
  • Click the Browse... button to locate the file you wish to add to the media library

  • From the Content Browser pop-up window, click My Computer (1)
  • Click the Browse... (2) button to select a file on your computer
  • Press OK (3) to upload the file

  • Click Save

  • Click the ActionLinks icon next to a Media Library entry you created
  • You will be able to Preview, Edit, and Remove the item
