The My Grades tool allows instructors to deliver grades on
various assignments, assessments, and projects throughout the semester. It
is a personal choice as to how or if the instructor will use the My
Grades feature of Blackboard.
TIPS
- The Instructor must
add the My Grades tool in order for students to view their
grades.
- The Instructor must Release the Grades
for students to view their grades.

Student View Tab
Preview your course as a Student

The Student View tab allows you to
see and interact with Blackboard exactly as your students do.
Blackboard provides each course with a Demo Student Account
for testing. This demo account is used when you take quizzes and
submit assignments while in the Student View tab. In the student
view, you are able to see exactly what your students see including
the My Grades
area. Use the Student View tab whenever you have a question about
how your students will view and work in your Blackboard course.
- To preview a Web Page as the students will see it, click on
the Student View tab.

- To access the My Grades tool to view the current record of your grades, click on My Grades from the left-hand
menu.
NOTE: If you can't see the
My Grades tool, your instructor may not have turned the
tool on yet.
- If you can't see a grade in your My Grades area, it is possible that your instructor has not yet released the
grades or has not finished with the grading. Contact your instructor, if you have
further questions.
NOTE: Some grades display
with parenthesis around them. In some cases, this indicates the
grade is partial or incomplete, but not always. The formula used
to calculate a grade may also cause parenthesis to display
around a score.
